The PTP Pre/Post Transfer survey is a tool created with the intent to measure social and academic integration of Community College transfer students in the College of Engineering and Information Technology (COEIT). To best measure this, we administered the pre-survey just after a student transferred, and then the post-survey at the end of their first semester at UMBC.
We hope to use the information collected through these surveys to smooth the pathway for computing and engineering students coming from Community Colleges to UMBC, addressing issues such as: ease and clarity of the transfer process, feeling socially accepted and comfortable, feeling academically prepared, and how their experiences of these things at UMBC compare to their experiences at their Community College.
This portion of the program is now completed; thank you for your participation! Check back for updates.
